Look More Intellectual in 2009 with Rubik's Cube

I have an affection for key chains, phone straps and lanyards. Since the beginning of my blogging venture, I had accumulated one A4 paper box load of those toys. Yeap, I kid you not. a box. Huge A4 box. Don't know how big is that? Stack 2000 sheet of a4 paper together and you get the box.

In all my collections of "toys", there are toys made me look cute, interesting, old, pedophile, hentai and everything imaginable. But none of them actually make me look or feel intellectual. Well, today changes all THAT as I have purchased myself a Rubik's Cube.


What's a Rubik's Cube you ask? Well mrgluedtothemonitor, according to Wikipedia, Rubik's Cube is

A 3-D mechanical puzzle invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik. Originally called the "Magic Cube",^{[citation needed]} the puzzle was licensed by Rubik to be sold by Ideal Toys in 1980 and won the German Game of the Year special award for Best Puzzle that year. It is said to be the world's best-selling toy, with over 300,000,000 Rubik's Cubes being sold worldwide by 2005.

But, how does this little useless information make you look or feel more intellectual? Ah ha! Normally Rubik's Cube are around 7 cm box. This is of course a cumbersome sized to chuck around and pull out when in subway or bus. But you can now get a Rubik's Cube Key Chain!
Standing at 3cm and half the sized of it's brethren, this key chain Rubik's Cube is as much headache inducing as it's brethren. A perfect Key Chain as I found out this few day, the Rubik's Cube can fit into my jeans with no noticeable bulge and also be left hanging out of my pocket for others to see while I am strolling the street. Giving me more street creed and intellect to boot!

Available at Toys "R" Us for less than 8USD or RM25, go grab one now to feel or look smarter. Just remember, don't turn the puzzle around if you don't know how to play it. You might not be able to get back the Rubik's Cube back to the "solved" position anymore.

Green Peas Key Chain Toy

One of the weirder thing that I have bought online last week. A green pea key chain toy. Specifically, a funny face green pea key chain. Funny thing is, this thing is quite high quality and very nice. For a pea that is.

The price though, is definitely not a pea. Its very expensive. Retailing at USD5.90 its nothing cheap but it sure is a good buy if you like weird stuff as collectible.

Puti Puti Key Chain Toy

Ahh, the more interesting things of my package. Interesting, quirky and very much a total waste of USD6.49. That is if you like to spend your time breaking up bubble wrappings.

The idea of this Puti Puti Key Chain is that it creates a new kind of toy for those that love to waste their time breaking up bubble wrappings. Pressing the buttons will emulate bubble wrap breaking. But there is a goodies in here. Sometimes you will be able to hit the bonus button. Which will trigger the squeel of the girl and some other things. If you would allow me to let my pun slide ( yet again ) I would like to highlight the price drop for a week on Play-Asia for the Slide Adventure: Mag Kid game which is currently on sale for a mere US 29.90 ( RM 102 ). Considering that this game comes with a slot two accessories, at US 29.90, Slide Adventure: Mag Kid is a pretty good deal. Although the slot two accessories only allow player to play the game on hard and smooth surface kind of make the game redundant its still a novelty to purchase at US 29.90.

I also found this during my ritual Play-Asia browsing earlier. Sega History Collection Gashapon which ran out of stock in 2004 is currently back in stock. Do not ask me where they find it, but the matter remains that they have it on sale now. Retailing at the slight price of US 3.90 ( RM 13.81 ) the Sega History Collection Gashapon is a pretty good collection for those golden oldies time when Sega dominate the world and was not reduced to a mere one roomed company.

Gameboy Advance SP Keychain Type

I made an order for the Gameboy Advance SP Keychain Type: Famicom + Super Mario Bros. There are 5 type of this keychain available. Each with different cartridge of games ranging from the classic Ice Climber all the way to The Legend of Zelda. all 5 of the design also features different GBA SP available. I particularly likedc the Famicom GBA so I got the Super Mario Bros version. But apparently there are 2 particular Famicon version of GBA available.

New Super Mario Bros KeyChain

Retailing at RM 17.56 or USD 4.99, the NSMB Keychain is one expensive keychain. But based on the picture and the quality of the look, I dare say that this might be a justifiable price. Although it would have been a lot more tolerable if its priced at around 2.99 or 3.99 USD

There I was, strolling along happily to my rabbit hole to get some dough for the month. I took out my safety box and checked the amount. Shocked I was when I found out I barely have enough to survive!

One of the Items that I have NO REGRET of getting is this Bleach Phone Strap. Frankly I am surprised at the quality of it all but boy this thing is Awesome with a capital A! I got myself this fellow here while my friend got himself an Ichigo in Bankai mode! WOhoo! 2 of the only fellow with their sword out! How cool is that!

493 Pokemon. Not many of you guyz can catch that amount of pokemon. You would have to be at certain place at certain time or use certain pokeball to catch certain pokemon. Meh... Lot of hard work for me.

How many Pokemon DS game that you own then? 1? 2? Some fanatic might own all. Heck, people like me would have to think 3 times to own more then 1 pokemon game. Anyway, enough with the rant. You guyz should know by now that I LOVE KEYCHAIN and GASHAPON. So I most probably will get one of this just to spite a fellow friend or 2 :P

For those that have been too out of touch with gaming world, a The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass english version is expected to be out by August this year. Currently the japanese version called er... The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is already out in the market. I would suggest waiting for the english version if you can't really read japanese as Zelda games can be categorized under ARPG which means it involves puzzle solving and some reading.
