If you would allow me to let my pun slide ( yet again ) I would like to highlight the price drop for a week on Play-Asia for the Slide Adventure: Mag Kid game which is currently on sale for a mere US 29.90 ( RM 102 ). Considering that this game comes with a slot two accessories, at US 29.90, Slide Adventure: Mag Kid is a pretty good deal. Although the slot two accessories only allow player to play the game on hard and smooth surface kind of make the game redundant its still a novelty to purchase at US 29.90.

I also found this during my ritual Play-Asia browsing earlier. Sega History Collection Gashapon which ran out of stock in 2004 is currently back in stock. Do not ask me where they find it, but the matter remains that they have it on sale now. Retailing at the slight price of US 3.90 ( RM 13.81 ) the Sega History Collection Gashapon is a pretty good collection for those golden oldies time when Sega dominate the world and was not reduced to a mere one roomed company.

Shock! NDSL Replacement Casing

Just the other day a friend was screaming death and murder at his brother for breaking his NDSL hinge. He was complaining to me about how hard his brother close the NDSL and how huge the crack is. He calmed down a bit into disbelief when I told him about the cracked hinge problem for a White NDSL. Then it was death and murder for Nintendo for making their NDSL fragile ( People just can't be satisfied can they? )

Anyway, I looked around for solution to deal with the cracked hinge, partly to help him and partly to sooth my curiosity of modding NDSL. I found a couple of solution, but the only viable one is the SHOCK! Replacement Casing for NDSL, they have quite a few selection of casing available. But the one that really caught my eye is this.

They the folks that made this at http://www.nds-central.com/ claims that this is a 10 minute job with 4 steps. And I quote what they say below

If you were to change to the Magnum Chrome Premium Edition ONLY, the process comprise of only 4 replacement parts. It should take you less than 10 minutes for assembly as we have simplified the prcedure to a mere 3 steps which is very similar to replacing the faceplate of the PSP :

Right... 10 minutes... 4 steps.. They even posted a step by step picture guide on Flickr
( view it HERE ) now, either my maths is very bad or I can count at least 22 pictures there. And the last picture there say its step number 21. Thats 17 step more then what they claim.

Ok fine, they said its Magnum Chrome Premium Edition only. So are they saying they can do it all along? Or that they are doing this so that they can screw up your NDSL with 22 step and hope you get lost somewhere then cry dagger and death for fucking up the NDSL? And the price tag ain't cheap either. The price tagged is 10 cent shy from 50.00 USD. I think for now I will stick to my original casing.

Nintendo DS Lite Brain Age 2 Bundle - 110V

Well what do you know.. The Brain Age 2 Bundle is finally out. And at quite a reasonable price too. Retailling at US 199.90, thats RM 703.55 for malaysian, the price of the whole special bundle is reasonable. In fact, looking at the included accesoric and colour combination, I dare say that this set is a steal. Let's do a simple calculation

Brain Age 2 Game = RM 150

Leather Pouch = RM 55

Limited Edition NDSL = RM 500

Bear in mind that i am using this as an example of the pricing only

If I were to calculate it ala Sungai Wang or Retailer pricing, this is what we will get

Leather Pouch = RM 70

LIMITED Edition NDSL = RM 700

Thats easily RM 930, so if you wanted to get an NDSL, I would suggest getting it now, and this bundle is worth every penny

Lack of Posting?

Yes sir! and ladies, There have been lack of posting for the last week due to some hectic schedule, lots of lazy bone and no less to the frantic game pace of Megaman Starforce: Pegasus and Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon.

Alternating between this two game, I have negleted my gaming time with Heroes of Mana and Luminous Arc. Both have the potential to be big but I find that both game are too slow paced for my liking, as Luminous Arc feels something like Window Vista security system. Every action have to be reconfirmed twice. Are you sure you want to move here? Is that your final answer? GOD! MOVE ALREADY!

Anyway, Last week I made my order for the Stationary Style Set DS Lite, and currently i am waiting for the Pocket Book to launch before placing my order. Hopefully I can combine this two set and make me look scholarly when playing NDSL outside :P
